Do any of the candidates have land investments? Would this cause any issues, and if so would you recues yourself?
April 28, Upper Saucon Board of Supervisors Forum
Dennis Benner: I have land that I own in this township that’s in addition to my home. But I echo the notion of both of these other candidates that if a conflict arises you recues yourself. That’s common sense I would think.
Bruce F. Carstensen: The short answer - no conflicts, long answer - a supervisor is always required to be forthright in their ethics. So if a supervisor had any conflict or the perception of a conflict it would need to recues themselves from a vote. So if anyone here had such a conflict it would be their duty to step back from that issue and recues themselves and not vote.
Patrick M. Leonard: I don’t have any land owning outside of my home. If you did, recuesing yourself would be necessary.
