Pirates Invade the Rave in Upper Saucon

Opening night of "Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Strange Tides" brought a number of costumed characters to the local movies.

On Fri., May 20 the Rave Movie Theater in the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley looked more like an actual scene from "Pirates of the Caribbean" as movie-goers dressed in a variety of pirate and British soldier costumes.

Anyone dressed in "pirate attire" was offered a treasure from the chest as they entered the main lobby of the Rave. A professional "Captain Jack Sparrow" was hired by the Rave as part of the evening's promotion.

Children and adults enjoyed the extra touch offered on the opening night of the highly anticipated "Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Strange Tides."
