The EAC is asking residents for their assistance in cleaning up littered areas throughout the township. If anyone is aware of an area in need of clean-up, contact Erin Frederick at efrederick@lehighconservation.org. Volunteers are asked to meet at Upper Saucon Township Community Park on Preston Lane at 9:30 a.m. on clean-up day. Bags, gloves and safety vests will be provided.
The township has also placed two bins in the lobby of the municipal building. One bin will be used to collect rechargeable batteries. This includes batteries in toys, cell phones, drills – anything which can be recharged. The second bin will be used to collect CFL bulbs. These are the energy-saving compact fluorescent bulbs, which should not be thrown in the trash due to their mercury content.
