State of Upper Saucon is Very Good, Chairman Says

After being out of the state for three months, Upper Saucon Supervisors Chairman Miro Gutzmirtl reported that the state of the township, at least compared with other municipalities, was strong.
“We’ve touched about all the bases,” Gutzmirtl said, explaining he had been mostly in Florida and Tennessee, and had compared the state of local governments there to that of the township. “The state of Upper Saucon looked really good compared to some other places,” Gutzmirtl concluded.
The Supervisors meeting on Monday, April 25, began with the chairman thanking Andy Hines, director of facilities at Lutron Electronics, for a recent $1,000 donation to the Police Bike patrol. A new patrol bike will be used to enforce the rules on the soon-to-be-opened .

“This board and the community are so grateful,” Gutzmirtl said to Hines. He went on to call Lutron “a good corporate neighbor and an example to other corporations.”
