81-Year-Old Woman Robbed At Gunpoint In Broad Daylight In Huntingdon Valley: Cops
BREAKING: A 33-year-old Southampton man has been arrested for the attempted robbery, which happened Wednesday in the Weis parking lot.

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — An 81-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight Wednesday by a 33-year-old Southampton man as she was walking through the parking lot of the local Weis market, authorities say. According to information from Upper Southampton Township Police, which assisted in the investigation, the woman was walking in the parking lot of the Huntingdon Valley Marketplace Shopping Center near the Weis Market when a man with a gun approached her just before 4 p.m. and tried to grab her purse.
The man, identified as James Zinn, has since been located, arrested and charged.
The victim reported Zinn was wearing a hoodie over his face and appeared to be holding a small black handgun when he approached her. The woman started screaming, hit the suspect with her car door and then ran into the Weis Market to get help, police said.

A witness who heard the victim scream was able to take down the license plate when the suspect fled the parking lot in a gray Chrysler Town and Country. Using that license plate information, officers went to Zinn's residence along the 100 block of Gravel Hill Road in Huntingdon Valley.
He was located there and positively identified.

Zinn was taken into custody by Upper Moreland, Lower Moreland and Upper Southampton police officers. He was transported to Upper Moreland Township Police headquarters for processing.
He was arraigned Thursday, bail was set at $100,000 cash he was and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
