The full calendar of resident-informed programming features lectures, wellness classes, discussion groups and cultural events to promote residents’ intellectual, physical and social well-being. If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. By using our long-tenured and dedicated staff, it is a home care service without the onerous minimum hours or uncertain staffing of agencies. And if care needs increase further, personal care is available in our historic Paxson Hall. What truly sets Friends Village apart is the warm sense of community. Growth Opportunity Center (GOC) is a long‑standing nonprofit mental health organization based in Southampton, proudly serving Bucks County, Montgomery County, Northeast Philadelphia, and the Greater Philadelphia region. For more than 50 years, GOC has been committed to providing accessible, high‑quality mental health services that help individuals and families build healthier, more connected lives. Our mission is to provide compassionate, effective care that empowers people to transform life's challenges into opportunities for growth. GOC offers a wide range of outpatient services, including individual therapy, family and couples therapy, group counseling, and psychiatric services. Our clinicians support people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, relationship challenges, and other emotional or behavioral concerns.
