Free Concert Series at BCCC Starts This Month
Performances include jazz, percussion, vocals, chamber music and more.

Bucks County Community College’s Department of the Arts will showcase student talent during a series of seven free concerts that begin on Nov. 19.
All of the performances start at 7:30 pm at the Newtown campus. Here is the schedule:
- Nov. 19: Performance Class Recital featuring solo performances in a variety of styles by students who have earned music scholarships
- Dec. 1: Chamber Jazz Ensemble, consisting of piano, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, drums and vocals
- Dec. 3: The Madrigal Singers under the direction of Assistant Professor Rochelle Reed
- Dec. 4: The Percussion Ensemble under the direction of instructor Mark Pultorak
- Dec. 8: The Classical Chamber Ensemble, featuring a variety of instrumental students
- Dec. 10: The Concert Choir, consisting of more than three dozen voices
- Dec. 11: The Jazz Orchestra featuring a big-band sound under the direction of Assistant Professor Jeff Baumeister
All concerts take place in the Presser Music Room in the Music & Multimedia Center, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown.
