'Hugo' Trails 'Puss in Boots' for Top Rentals

Looking to rent a movie this weekend? Here are the five most-rented movies in the area, according to Redbox.

"Puss in Boots" (PG): Before Puss in Boots (voiced by Antonio Banderas) met Shrek, the suave and furry feline teamed up with Humpty Dumpty and Kitty Southpaws to steal the famed goose that lays golden eggs.

"Hugo" (PG): Martin Scorsese's first 3D film, which won five Academy Awards, is a fantasy drama that tells the tale of a wily and resourceful boy, Hugo, who lives between the walls of a railway station. He discovers a secret left by his late father, unlocks a mystery and embarks on a quest that leads to a safe and loving place he can call home.

"The Rum Diary" (R): Hunter S. Thompson’s fiction makes it to movie form, with Johnny Depp playing the lead role again (as in Thompson's "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas"). Depp plays Paul Kemp, a journalist who goes to Puerto Rico to write for a local paper. He drinks too much rum and becomes obsessed with the fiancée of a shady businessman.

"Moneyball" (PG-13): Real fans of baseball—the stats junkies—will love this story about how those Swingin’ A’s used more math than money to build a winning team. Brad Pitt was nominated for an Oscar for his performance as Billy Beane.

"In Time" (PG-13): In this Sci-Fi/Action adventure, time is money. The richer your are, the longer you can live, and the rest of the people have to negotiate for their immortality.
