Daniel Dorian hid from the Nazis during WWII and went on to interview such greats as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy.

Phillips’ Mill Community Association’s annual Forum discussion will feature the adventures of filmmaker, author, foreign correspondent and self-confessed poker addict Daniel Dorian on May 22 at 4 p.m.

Dorian began his life in rural France, hidden from the Nazis during World War II. After D-Day, he returned to the newly liberated Paris and his Jewish parents. He spent many afternoons with his teacher and Einstein’s best friend, philosopher and mathematician, Maurice Solovine, who shared a new Einstein letter with Dorian weekly, including a memorable letter explaining the Theory of Relativity.
