Skimming Device Found On Upper Southampton ATM: Police
Breaking: Police warn residents who used an ATM at the Firstrust on 2nd Street Pike to check their statements. A skimming device was found.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — Authorities are warning residents who used an ATM at the Firstrust Bank in Upper Southampton to check their statements after a skimming device was recently located on the machine.
Police announced two suspects were caught on camera installing a skimming device at a Second Street Pike Firstrust Bank. Police said the same pair has been linked to placing skimming devices on Firstrust Bank ATMs in Doylestown, Northampton, Springfield and Philadelphia.
"If you have a Firstrust account or have used one of their ATM’s recently please check your statement for possible fraudulent activity," police said in a statement.

The bank confirmed the investigation is ongoing and has taken the necessary precautions.
"Because Firstrust recovered the devices and turned them over to the authorities, and the devices do not appear to have had a method of transmitting data other than within the device itself, the bank does not believe any customer information has been compromised. However, in an abundance of caution, Firstrust is in the process of issuing new ATM cards to all potentially impacted customers. Any affected customer that thinks they have unauthorized use should contact Firstrust for restitution as is normal in any situation of unauthorized card activity," according to a statement sent to Patch.
