Soccer Association Hosts Annual November Classic

A message from the club's tournament director.

The following was submitted by Southampton Soccer Assosication Tournament Director Ken Woodring:

The Southampton Soccer Association hosted its 4th Annual November Classic last weekend.

For all the bad weather our teams endured this season; Mother Nature shined on us with two glorious, sun-filled days.

We want to thank the Centennial School District and all of our tourney sponsors, whose generosity and support fuel the success of the tourney.

We hosted 60 teams from as far away as North Jersey and Delaware - with participants from 8 to 14 years old.  Games were played at Wm Tennent HS and Southampton's Gravel Hill fields.

Tournament results are posted at www.southamptonsoccer.org.

It was more than a soccer weekend.  We also want to thank all those teams who donated Toys for Tots and Passback items.  We dropped off more than 30 toys to Southampton Estates and shipped 2 boxes of items to the US Soccer Federation's Passback program. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! These charitable endeavors are ongoing - for more information, go to the club's website www.southamptonsoccer.org
