Trevose Day School Students Bring Holiday Joy to Neshaminy Senior Center
Through song and art students entertain seniors
As part of an annual tradition, students from Trevose Day School entertained senior citizens at the Neshaminy Activity Center during their holiday party held on December 21. This is the 3rd year that students from grades two through five at Trevose Day School were asked to perform. They sang Jingle Bells, Feliz Navidad, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
In addition, students in fourth and fifth grade hand crafted stars for the center’s Memory Tree. The stars were purchased in honor of loved ones who have passed away. Mayzie Braun (grade 5), Christiane Bonhage (grade 4) and Aidan Charest (grade 4) were in charge of the project this year. They cut and decorated more than 50 stars!
Gwynne Frischmann, Head of School, Trevose Day School remarked, “It brings great joy and many smiling faces to the seniors at Neshaminy Activity Center whenever we bring our students there to perform.” She continued, “We are especially proud of our older students who spearheaded the Memory Tree project. They enjoy sharing their art with the seniors in a way that helps them remember a loved one.”
