Single-digit temperatures felt sub-zero with the wind chill Thursday morning, as morning commuters and parents who waited at the bus stop can tell you.
“The coldest air of the season so far will settle into the region by Thursday with high temperatures in the lower 20s,” AccuWeather said.

Temperatures may rise into the teens during the day Thursday, the National Weather Service said, but will feel as low as 5 below with the wind chill.
SEPTA wasn’t reporting any widespread delays Thursday morning, but asked that passengers use extra caution when boarding trains and buses. “Keep warm and allow extra time in inclement weather,” the transit authority said. “Your safety is our priority.”
Overnight, temperatures around 10 will feel like zero, and there’s a chance of snow Friday morning, though little accumulation is expected, the NWS said.
Highs will be in the 20s Friday, with high winds gusting up to 23 mph.
Things will finally warm up later this weekend, with highs reaching into the 30s on Sunday, but winter isn’t done with us yet: there’s a chance of snow next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the National Weather Service says.
