8 Upper St. Clair High School Students Make State Honors Band
The honors band will perform next month at North Hills High School.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Eight Upper St. Clair High School students have been selected through competitive audition to participate in the 2017 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 1 Honors Band.
Musicians named to the honors band include:
- Clarinet
Meghan Johnson - 20th chair
Holly Smith - 5th Alternate

James Boston - 3rd Chair
- Euphonium

Justin Dreyer - 7th Chair
Steven Halpner - 9th Chair
Students auditioned for the honors band on Oct. 2 at South Fayette High School. Hundreds of students from Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties participated in the audition process.
The honors band will perform a public concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, at North Hills High School in Ross Township.
PMEA is a statewide nonprofit organization of more than 4,500 members, dedicated to promoting the musical development of all Pennsylvanians. The organization promotes and supports quality music education, learning and performance as well as promoting and supporting music education in schools and communities. PMEA is affiliated with The National Association for Music Education.
