Grady Family Fundraiser

Many of you may already know the Grady family that lives here in Upper St Clair. If you do not, perhaps you’ve seen them at the football or basketball games cheering all of our kids on. Long story short, Val and Chris Grady have two little boys Drew (8), and Trent (5). Both boys inherited a horrible disease called Batten Disease. It literally robs them of their childhood! They were perfectly normal up until around age 3. After then, they started having seizures, up to several hundred a day! Eventually they lose their coordination, their ability to talk, their ability to eat, the ability to see, the ability to walk, and then become bedridden. Every single Batten’s case is 100% fatal and their life expectancy is 8-12 years. Both boys are now only able to get around by wheelchair. Because of this, the Grady family is now in desperate need of a wheelchair van for the boys. This van will make it so much easier to transport them and help to get them to our football and basketball games and whatever else to continue to cheer OUR kids on. The van costs $56,000! The family has a portion of the money but due to medical bills and all other expenses, they need to do some fundraising to get more. I have attached a flyer along with this email to explain what we are doing. We are having a 50/50 raffle. We have 1000 tickets to sell that cost $20 each. On July 4, whatever the PA evening 3 digit lottery number is, the person who purchased that numbered ticket will be our winner. The winner takes half the money raised…..$10,000 CASH!!!! Please, if you are able and interested, I am asking the community to help by purchasing a ticket. You can email me back, call me, text me, facebook me, whatever you need to do to get in touch with me, and I will find a way to deliver you the tickets. Please don’t feel obligated, but like I said, if you are able, we’d greatly appreciate it. And who couldn’t use an extra 10 grand?? Thank you for your time in reading this email. Sincerely, Erica Cameron 211 McMurray Rd USC, PA 15241 Emort179@yahoo.com (412) 916-2953 my cell….feel free to text if you prefer
