The Education Partnership, a Pennsylvania nonprofit organization that provides school and classroom supplies to teachers and young people at no cost, is opening up the application process for 2013-2014 school year participation. All applications must be submitted by midnight on March 22, 2013.
The Benefits for Participating Schools
- Eligible staff members who provide direct instruction to students will receive critically needed school and classroom supplies at no cost two times during the year
- Every student in the school will receive a box of supplies during a special in-school distribution event in the month of December
- The program is free to join and participate; simply complete the online application

- Schools where 70% or more of the students qualify for a free/reduced lunch through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Washington and Westmoreland counties (data based on 2012-2013 school year NSLP percentage) can apply to the program
- Schools must serve students between grades K-12
- Full-time classroom teachers, special and elective teachers, as well as other full-time personnel who provide direct instruction to students will receive supplies
Selection Process
- A representative from qualifying schools must complete the application from the link on our website
- Applications open: Monday, February 4th
- Applications close: Friday, March 22nd at midnight
- The Education Partnership is targeting 20 schools for program participation in the 2013-2014 school year
- Schools will be chosen by an unbiased School Selection Committee
- Selected schools will be notified by June 2013
