“PLEASE GIVE, THEY DID”
Celebrate Armed Forces Day and Upper St. Clair Community Day on Saturday May 18, 2013. This is the kickoff to the yearlong “PLEASE GIVE, THEY DID” campaign that honors the 7 military branches of the United States of America. Don’s Appliance’s recognize the dedication of the brave men and women who volunteer to defend our country 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Patriarch Don Hillebrand asserts “Veterans are mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, cousins and friends. Away from home, they sacrifice countless holidays, birthdays and special events. We may not always agree in the wars and battles, but this should not deter us from supporting these men and women in uniform. Through their sacrifice and the courageous individuals who served before them, valued freedoms are sustained for all Americans.”
To the families who have lost loved ones, the Hillebrand family extends heartfelt condolences. Nick affirms “Let us never forget those veterans who did not make it home. Remember those still serving in our prayers and never take their sacrifices for granted”. Don’s is proud to gift $500 to the Upper St. Clair Veterans Park Inc., campaign.
Protecting the freedom of America, the military is “united in purpose - steadfast in service”. Maya Angelou, author and poet states “How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!” So, on Saturday May 18, Armed Forces Day (USC COMMUNITY DAY), gather family and friends at the USC Veterans Monument at McLaughlin Run Road to salute and give thanks. The Western Pa Patriot Guard (motorcycle) Riders will greet visitors as well. Please show your appreciation with a $7 donation per honoree. Tributes will acknowledge the veteran name, military branch and donor in a forthcoming USC Today issue. “PLEASE GIVE, THEY DID”!
