AVANI Institute Hosts Nutrition Series on How to Heal Yourself in the Kitchen

Caution: This Series May Cause Weight Loss

AVANI Institute will host a four part series on nutrition called, “The Secret Side of Food: How to Heal Yourself in the Kitchen (Caution: This Series May Cause Weight Loss)“ from 7 to 9 p.m. on Mondays, January 12 and 26 and February 9 and 23. AVANI is located at 3055 Washington Road, Suite 203, McMurray.

The series will be taught by area health coaches Tracey Eakin, Gianna Thomas and Julie Cerrone.

“It seems that each year, we all aim to be healthier, but seem to fall short,” Cerrone noted. “Through this series, we are encouraging participants to arm themselves with the most powerful tool they can -- knowledge!”

This crash course for wellness will highlight why GMOs are bad and what other foods to avoid. Participants also will learn how all of their choices impact their well-being and how food can be the most powerful medication of them all. Attendees also will have the opportunity to explore different dietary theories and be able to identify which one best suits their lifestyle.

“Each person will leave with the resources, tools and support to implement a healthier lifestyle,” Eakin said. “Each class builds upon the previous one so that we can pack as much information as we can into this series.”

“We are excited to host this nutrition series at AVANI,” said Karen Shanahan, AVANI’s founder and owner. “It fits well with our mission to help people achieve their healthy lifestyle goals and to live the best, most fulfilling life possible.”

The cost for the series is $130 for all four classes or $35 per class. Because each class builds upon the previous one, it is strongly recommended that participants attend the entire series. For more information or to register, call AVANI at 724.941.7400 or visit www.avani-institute.com.
