John Boehner - The Pot Calling the Kettle Black

Coarse and Crude U. S. House Speaker Has the Audacity to Criticize a Fellow Offender

What could be more amusing and bizarre than the world of politics?

U. S. House Speaker John Boehner recently demanded that fellow Republican, Alaska U. S. Representative Don Young, apologize for outrageously referring to migrant workers as "wetbacks".  Boehner correctly asserts that Young's remarks were "offensive and beneath the dignity of the office he holds".

I wonder if Mr. Boehner recognizes the many occasions on which his speech has fit the same criteria for inappropriateness:  to cite but a few examples of "Boehnerspeak", how about referring to Democratic legislation as "chicken crap", telling Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, "go ---- yourself", and noting that the House will not be taking up the sequester matter for a third time before the Senate “gets off their ass and passes it once”.

Perhaps Representative Young used John Boehner as a model for conduct and language unbecoming a national leader.

I believe the Speaker often forgets that he is now supposed to act like a distinguished and dignified man rather than the manager of his family's Akron, Ohio tavern.
