Brush Fire Temporarily Closes Chartiers Street

Multiple fire departments called to scene of brush fire just before 9 p.m. Thursday.

Fire trucks and police vehicles blocked off Chartiers Street in Bridgeville near Rite Aid on Thursday night as firefighters put out a brush fire.

According to Allegheny County 911, the brush fire broke out just before 9 p.m. The smoke could be seen from Interstate 79. No one was injured.

It is unclear how long emergency officials will need to keep Chartiers Street closed. Chartiers Street is the main road Upper St. Clair residents use to get to Interstate 79. It intersects with Route 50.
