DUI Arrest Follows Accident at St. Clair Woods Apartments

Upper St. Clair Township police are charging a woman with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic accident on May 8 in which police say that she struck a parked vehicle at the St. Clair Woods apartments complex, according to court documents.

Sandra Allison, 51, of Painters Drive in Upper St. Clair, had her charges of DUI and driving without an inspection waived on Tuesday for Allegheny County Court, where she is scheduled for an Aug. 2 arraignment.

Police report that Allison's vehicle smelled of alcohol and that she failed field-sobriety tests.

Following her arrest, she was taken to St. Clair Hospital for a blood test—results pending—and eventually released to the custody of a friend.
