Asbury Heights, a continuing care retirement community in Mt. Lebanon, will host an educational breakfast session at Carriage Home #756 on Wesley Drive on Asbury’s Bower Hill Road campus. Guests will learn about Asbury’s new REACH program designed forcouples affected by dementia.
REACH, an acronym for Resources Education And Caregiver Help, provides Asbury’s independent living couples with support services if one spouse is coping with dementia, allowing them to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. Developed by a team of health professionals from Asbury, the initiative provides physical, speech and occupational therapy screenings; nurse support and caregiver support and training. In addition, REACH families can participate in activities at Asbury Place, Asbury Heights’ community for residents with memory-related disorders. Call to register for this event.
