The USC Girls Volleyball team has partnered once again with the Side-Out Foundation in their 2011 Rally. During the month of October, Dig Pink events are held all over the country at middle schools, high schools and colleges. All proceeds benefit Side-Out, which in turn awards grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing support to breast cancer patients and their families.
This year, USC will be hosting two different “Dig Pink” matches. The first game will be against section rival Ringgold High School Oct. 4. The second match, which is the official Dig Pink match, will be against Mt. Lebanon High School on Oct. 6. Both games begin with the JV match at 6 p.m. and the varisty plays at 7 p.m. During the Dig Pink match, there will fundraisers such as fan T-shirt sales, a Chinese Auction, the concession stands and donations.
