A yoga workshop.
Conquer your fear and fly! Adding an arm balance or two to asana can bring grace, play and delight to your practice. Contrary to popular belief, many people can do arm balances because they rely more on our sense of balance and finding fulcrums in the body rather than solely on brute strength. Once we understand how our weight works with gravity in different planes, we can more easily float into poses that previously eluded us. This workshop will incorporate warm-ups for shoulders, arms, wrists, and core to prepare for learning and attempting various balances including (but not limited to!): Crane (Crow), Side Crane, Flying Pigeon, Shoulder-Pressing Pose, Firefly Pose, Eight-Angle Pose, and Eka Pada Koundiyasana I and II. Previous yoga experience recommended.
