UPDATE: Power Restored After Tree Causes Outage

All power was back on in Upper St. Clair and Bethel Park at 1:25 p.m.

All power is back on in Upper St. Clair and Bethel Park after a fallen tree caused a major outage late Friday morning.

The outage began at 10:51 a.m. and affected 650 customers, according to West Penn Power.

Bethel Park police told Patch the outage affected the "whole north end of Bethel Park."

A number of traffic lights were out along Washington and Fort Couch roads, causing for some confusion amongst motorists.

Businesses in Norman Centre II and Chick-fil-A were without power. was also affected by the outage; its Internet was not working.
