Health Department To Spray For Mosquitoes In Upper St. Clair

Find out here where and when the spraying will occur.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - The Allegheny County Health Department will conduct a mosquito treatment near the Wingfield Pines Conservation Area on Monday between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The treatment is in response to nuisance mosquito complaints and not because any mosquitoes tested positive for the West Nile Virus in the township.

The health department will use a truck-mounted, ultra-low volume sprayer. The product used will be a mosquito pesticide called Zenivex E20. The pesticide kills adult mosquitoes but is not harmful to people and pets.
