Huffing & Driving Charge
AΒ charge of driving under the influence for Brian Keith Pfender, Jr., 20, of Bethel Park, was waived on June 17Β forΒ Allegheny County Court, where Pfender is scheduled for an Aug. 2 arraignment.
Upper St. ClairΒ Township police stated in a criminal complaint filed in district Judge Robert C. Wyda's office that Pfender isΒ suspected of huffingΒ "industrial strength aerosol duster"Β prior toΒ crashing his vehicleΒ into a tree at the corner of McMurray RoadΒ and Southridge Drive during the night of April 4.
Vodka Theft
John Michael Dixon, 52, of Upper St. Clair, who wasΒ charged in late JanuaryΒ with stealing a bottle of vodka from a PennsylvaniaΒ Wine & Spirits store in Bethel Park, pleaded guilty before Wyda onΒ June 17Β to retail theft, was fined and was ordered to stay out of the store.
Other Charges
- Kaylin Anne Lyon, 19, of Lawrence (Cecil Township), PA, is charged with stealing $380 in PlayStation3 gear fromΒ theΒ Sears at South HillsΒ VillageΒ inΒ early February. Lyon's preliminary hearing before Wyda on June 17Β was continued to July 1.
- Michelle Kinder, 36, of Pittsburgh's Carrick neighborhood, is charged with stealing two Coach purses from the Macy's at South Hills VillageΒ in mid-December.Β Kinder's preliminary hearing before Wyda on June 17Β was continued for 90 days.
- Thomas Allan Baily, 44, of Monongahela Township, PA, is charged with stealing $180 in tools fromΒ theΒ Sears at South HillsΒ VillageΒ inΒ mid-January. Baily'sΒ preliminary hearing before Wyda on June 17Β was continued indefinitely.
