"Master Runners"

I wanted to share some USC women's running results.
A little backround: Master runners are those 40 and over
Grandmaster runners are 50 +.

On Friday, August 9th,I was able to place as the first female in the Unstoppable +40 in the GNC 1 mile race in downtown Pittsburgh with a finishing time of 6:03.
The following day, I won 3rd overall female at the Sam Mumley 5k race in St. Clairsville, OH. with a time of 20:48.

My running friend and USC resident, Lisa Lucas won 1st overall female at the Brookline Breeze 5k with a fantastic time of 19:05 on Saturday 8-10-13.

the following week we both participated in the Flying Monkey 5k at Southpointe. Lisa won 2nd overall with a time of 17:25 and I was able to capture first in my age group (50-54) with a time of 19:06.
I went on to race that evening in Wheeling, WV at the Debbie Green 5k with a finishing time of 20:32, winning the Grandmaster category and $50.

On Sunday, August 25th, I traveled to Youngstown OH and participated in the Panerathon 10k winning 4th overall with a PR (personal record) of 40:56 along with $75 cash prize.

Attached is a photo from the Debbie Green race.
I thought it would be nice to hear about achievements of athletic adults (especially those of us over the age of 40)!
Thank you.
