Odyssey of the Mind Teams Recognized By the Township
The Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners presented proclamations to the teams for their outstanding performances at the world competition.
The Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners honored two Odyssey of the Mind teams on Tuesday night for their outstanding performances at the world competition.
The representing —comprised of Chloe Roberts; Kelsey Roberts; Paul Austin; Anna Rosati; Erin Perelstine; Marissa Bowman; and Alexa Schlein—. They were coached by Susan Rosati.
"This group really likes to think out of the box," Rosati said while the team was being recognized by the township.

The team from —Liam Carse; Brendan Allen; Abigail Shoemaker; Arushi Kewalramani; Connor Byrnes; and Vicki Wang—came in sixth place at the world competition.
"We went to worlds not knowing what to expect. We got sixth place and it was really cool. You got to see people from all over the world—all appreciative of the work you did," team member Carse said on Tuesday night.

Shannon Byrnes coached the middle school team.
Each coach and team member received a proclamation from the township signed by the president of the board of commissioners and the township manager.
A total of 858 teams from 33 states and 14 countries participated in the international tournament.
