Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra - Inspired by America's Got Talent

Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra presents the winners of the 2014-2015 Young Artists Competition

The Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra’s 56th season continues with music inspired by popular television shows. On Saturday, April 4, 2015, the PCO celebrates America’s Got Talent by featuring the winners of the annual Young Artist Competition Winners. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 4 at the Upper St. Clair High School Theater, 1825 McLaughlin Run Road.

This year the PCO musicians will be joined by three exceptionally talented student musicians. Violinist Ziqi Meng will play Scherzo-Tarantelle by Henryk Wieniawski. Thomas Ik-Hyun Kim will perform Cello Concerto #1 in A minor, Op. 33 by Camille Saint-Saëns. Ariana Chiu will play Piano Concerto #3 in C major, Op. 26, Andante-Allegro by Sergei Prokofiev.

In addition, the PCO will play music by American composers Duke Ellington, Aaron Copland, and Alan Hovaness.

Tickets may be purchased at the door. Prices are $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for seniors and $5.00 for students 13 and older. Children 12 and under are
