Three Upper St. Clair Students Become Published Writers
The trio participated in a Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh writing contest.
UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Three Upper St. Clair High School students – sophomore Skyler Bruno, senior Eden Auslander and 2019 graduate Sarah Price – are now ecently became published authors. The trio's were among the most highly rated submissions in the Ralph Munn Creative Writing Contest, sponsored by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
Skyler’s short prose titled, “Snapped Guitar Strings Can Be Repaired,” and poems from Eden and Sarah titled, “Analyzation of Procrastination” and “A Different Battle,” respectively, can be found within the “Ralph Munn Creative Writing Anthology 2019.” The anthology is available online as well as in hard copy at all Allegheny County public and school libraries.

All writers were invited to the recent Teen Media Awards, a special event celebrating the work of local teens. The creative writing contest awards first place winners in each category with $250 and second place winners with $100.
The Ralph Munn Creative Writing Contest is open to all high school students in Allegheny County. Entries are typically received from mid-March to mid-April.
