Upper St. Clair Choir To Perform With Pittsburgh Symphony

The Pantheon Choir has an upcoming Heinz Hall date with the symphony.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Upper St. Clair High School’s Pantheon Choir will perform with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra during a showing of the classic comedy “Home Alone.” The event occurs Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Heinz Hall.

Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online from the PSO.

Members of the Pittsburgh Symphony together with the Pantheon Choir will perform the Oscar-nominated score as the full-length movie is screened above the stage.

“Home Alone” features Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who's accidentally left behind when his family leaves for Christmas vacation, and who must defend his suburban Chicago home against two bungling thieves.

The film's signature song, "Somewhere in my Memory," was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

Under the direction of Lorraine Milovac, the Pantheon Choir a mixed ensemble of female students from grades 11-12 and male students in grades 10-12. Selection to the ensemble is by audition only.
