Upper St. Clair To Hold Itty Bitty Mini-THON

A precursor to the district's annual Mini-THON, this event caters to younger children.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - It’s a win-win situation: Parents can enjoy a rare kid-free evening while kids enjoy a fun-filled night that raises money for a good cause.

Upper St. Clair’s third annual Itty Bitty Mini-THON will occur Jan. 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the high school. The event for children from preschool through grade six, will provide games, crafts, a G-rated movie and snacks. High school students will lead the activities with adult supervision.

The cost is $25 per child; $35 for two children; or $40 for three or more children. All proceeds benefit Four Diamonds, an organization that assists children who are battling cancer and their families at Penn State Health Children's Hospital in Hershey.

This year marks the third year for the Upper St. Clair High School Mini-THON. Students raised $17,531 and $41,098, respectively, in 2016-17 and 2017-18. This year, students hope to raise $50,000.

Students raise monies through a variety of events and fundraisers – culminating in a 12-hour event beginning at 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday. The third annual USC Mini-THON is set for April 5.
