Upper St. Clair Names New Student Support Services Director
Cassandra Doggrell currently is a Seneca Valley School District principal.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - The Upper St. Clair school board has approved the appointment of Cassandra Doggrell as the district's director of student support services. Doggrell, who begins her new duties later this fall, succeeds Amy Pfender, who was promoted to assistant to the superintendent in July.
Doggrell currently serves as principal of Haine Middle School in the Seneca Valley School District. Since 2010, she has also held the roles of assistant middle school principal and elementary autism and emotional support teacher at Seneca Valley. She previously worked as a long-term substitute teacher in the Highlands School District. In addition, Doggrell served as a part-time faculty member in the Graduate Education Program at Waynesburg University.
Upper St. Clair School District’s student support services department oversees a variety of areas that include school counseling, psychological services, health services, special education, English as a second language and homebound instruction.

“We are excited to welcome Ms. Doggrell to the Upper St. Clair School District. Her experience and expertise in special education make her the right choice to lead our student support services department,” Dr. John T. Rozzo, superintendent of schools, said in a district statement.
A graduate of Grove City College, Doggrell earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary ducation/early childhood education. She holds a master’s degree in special education from Waynesburg University and a master’s degree in educational administration and supervision from Duquesne University. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in educational leadership at the University of Pittsburgh.
