Upper St. Clair Schools 2017-18: What Supplies Your Kids Need

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - It’s not quite time for panic mode when it comes to making sure your kids are properly prepared for the 2017-18 school year, but it’s getting closes. Classes in the Upper St. Clair School District begin Tuesday Aug. 29.

If you have a student in Baker, Eisenhower or Streams elementary school, or Boyce Middle School, that gives you barely three weeks to get back-to-school clothes and supplies. Because fashion is a matter of personal taste, Patch can’t help you with that. But we can help by conveniently publishing the supply lists for each school.

Here’s what you need:

Baker

Kindergarten

• 1 eraser, pink, large

• 1 antibacterial hand sanitizer, gel, 8oz

• 1 plastic pencil box

• 1 glue sticks

• 1 boxes of crayons (16 count)

• 1 3-ring, white, 1" heavy duty binder

Please label your child's pencil box.

First Grade

• 3 composition books, marble cover, 100 sheets, black

• 6 vinyl, 2 pocket, 3 hole, folders (1 orange, 1 purple, 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue, 1 green)

• 1 box washable markers, classic colors, wide tip, 8/set

• 1 plastic pencil box

• 1 hardboard, letter size, brown, clipboard

• 2 magnetic clips

• 1 red pen

• 1 box of colored pencils, 12-set

• 2 large, pink erasers

• 12 glue sticks

• 1 hand sanitizer

• 2 boxes of tissues

Students will also need: small wash cloth (to use w/dry erase boards), old shirt for art class, and a 100 percent cotton, pre-washed, white T-shirt that will be tie-dyed and worn on field trips.

Second Grade

• 1 4 pack of dry erase markers, assorted colors

• 2 magnetic clips

• 3 vinyl, 2 pocket folders, blue, red, green

• 1 box of 24 crayons

• 1 box of colored pencils, 12/set

• 1 plastic pencil box

• 1 3 ring, white, 0.5", heavy duty binder

• 1 pack of 3 ring, plastic, 5-tab, 10 pockets, 11-by-8 dividers

• 4 glue sticks

• 3 boxes of tissues

• 1 hand sanitizer

Third Grade

• 1 pair of scissors

• 1 pencil case, fabric, 3-hole w/grommets

• 2 large, pink erasers

• 4 vinyl, 2 pocket, 3 hole folders (1 red, 1 blue, 1 green, 1 yellow)

• 1 3 ring, 1-inch binder

• 1 4 oz, washable glue

• 6 glue sticks

• 2 magnetic clips

• 1 box of colored pencils, 12/set

• 2 black, marble cover composition books, 100 sheets

• 2 boxes tissues

• 1 container antibacterial wipes

• 2 red pens

• 1 pack dry erase markers, 4/set, assorted colors

Students will also need a pair of safety goggles to wear in science class.

Fourth Grade

• 1 hand sanitizer, 8 oz.

• 1 yellow high lighter

• 2 boxes facial tissues

• 3 sheet protectors, letter size, clear, 10/pk

• 1 plastic pencil box

• 3 glue sticks

• 1 box colored pencils, 12/set

• 3 black, marble cover composition books, 100 sheets

• 8 2-pocket folders

• 1 3 ring, white, 1.5-inch heavy duty binder

Eisenhower

Kindergarten

• 1 plastic (hard) pencil box

• 1 box of 24 crayons (no more than 24 please)

• 1 backpack big enough to carry a folder and books back and forth.

First grade

• 1 art shirt

• 1 zipper pencil pouch (not a plastic pencil box)

• 5 jumbo glue sticks

• 1 “boring” pink, green or white school eraser (no hamburgers, cars etc.)

• 1 box of crayons (no more than 64 in box)

• 1 box of Ziplock sealable sandwich bags (girls bring)

• 1 box of Ziplock sealable freezer bags (boys bring)

• 1 box of tissues for entire class to share

• 1 file box (index card sized)

• 1 set of alphabet dividers for the file box

• 1 blue plastic pocket folder

• 1 small box of white envelopes.

Second grade

• 1 art shirt

• 1 desk pencil box

• 1 24-pack of crayons

• 1 pack of dry erase markers

• 4 glue sticks

• 1 pack of Crayola markers

• 1 box of Kleenex

Third grade

• 1 art shirt

• 1 workbox

• 2 glue sticks or small bottle of glue (we refill all year)

• 1 pack of colored pencils

• 1 box of crayons

• 1 sock (to be used as a whiteboard eraser).

Fourth grade

• 1 art shirt

• 1 glue stick

• 1 small school eraser

• 1 pack of colored pencils or a box of crayons

• 2 pocket folders (no plastic folders please)

• 1 box of tissue

Streams

• Kindergarten

• 2 glue sticks

• Crayons (24 or fewer)

• 1 plastic pocket folder - plastic folders are very durable!

• Plastic pencil box

• 2-inch white 3-ring binder and 25 3-hole clear page protectors (please put the clear page protectors into your child's binder)

• 1 box of tissues

• Boys: 1 box gallon Ziploc bags

• Girls: 1 box sandwich Ziploc bags

First Grade

• 2 boxes of Kleenex

• 1 box colored pencils (24 or less) *

• 1 container of Clorox Wipes (girls only)

• 1 box gallon sized zip-lock bags (boys only)

• 6 big glue sticks placed inside a large Ziploc bag*

• 1 box of crayons (24 or less)

• 2 pocket folders *

• 1 large pencil box *

• 1 box of Band Aids

• 1 large container of hand sanitizer (boys only)

• 1 box sandwich size Ziplocc bags (girls only)
