USC Choral Boosters Host Annual Madrigal Dinner

The event was held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday.

Upper St. Clair Choral Boosters’ annual Madrigal Dinner at on Saturday was a success.

The event featured members of the as well as 's music department.

About 150 guests were personally announced and heralded at the door by royal trumpeter and squires, and before dinner, they enjoyed music from a string quartet—all members of the high school orchestra.

The Upper St. Clair Chanteclairs—in full medieval, royal garb—led the evening’s entertainment with a self-scripted, slapstick skit. They also heralded in each course of the meal with a song including “Wassail,” “The Boar’s Head Carole” for the main course and “Flaming Pudding Carole” for dessert.

The Fort Couch students helped with seating, coat check and serving, as did the sophomore girls of the Clarion Choir and the high school boys in the Men’s Ensemble. They all performed holiday songs during dinner as well.
