The year's THON is coming up quickly. Find out here how you can help with this worthy event.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Students will dance the night away next month during the school's third annual 12-hour Mini-THON. The event, which will be held April 5, will raise money for Four Diamonds, an organization that assists children who are battling cancer and their families at Penn State Health Children's Hospital in Hershey.
A designated community time on April 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. will enables residents of all ages to participate in games, purchase refreshments, dance and, overall, have a fun time! Following community time, participating high schoolers will be “locked-in” until 6 a.m. Saturday for a night full of dancing, food, games and more.
“Last year, we were able to raise more than $41,000 in our fight to conquer childhood cancer!,” Rachel Harris, a USCHS senior and Mini-THON public relations school and community executive board member, said in a district release. “We need students and community members to continue spreading the word to help us reach our goal of $50,000.”

To reach the $50,000 goal, students have organized several fundraising initiatives leading up to the Mini-THON – including launching an online donor page.
“The Donor Drive, our online fundraising page, has already raised more than $14,000, but we are a long way from attaining our goal,” Harris said.

A big part of fundraising is community outreach. Already this year, students have hosted a babysitting night for children around the community. In addition, they held fundraisers at Duck Donuts, Moe’s and Chipotle.
