USC Native to Direct Movie Shoot in Pittsburgh

Upper St. Clair native Stephen Chbosky is set to direct a film in the Pittsburgh area.
The romance drama, "Perks of Being a Wallflower" will star Emma Watson, from the "Harry Potter" series, and Logan Lerman.

Chbosky wrote the best selling novel in 1999 and will adapt the book for the film. The story explores the awkward times of adolescence, including teen sexuality and drug use.
Also on his resume, Chbosky wrote the screenplay for the film "Rent," and was executive producer of the CBS television series "Jericho."
