$15M Funding Proposed For Centennial Under New PA Budget
State Rep. Brian Munroe hopes the school aid will be approved as legislators work on adopting a new state budget by Sunday.

WARMINSTER, PA —With the deadline to complete a new Pennsylvania state budget looming, State Rep. Brian Munroe hopes that it will include a 2024-2025 funding increase for the Centennial School District.
Munroe said that he and fellow state legislators are "hunkered down in Harrisburg to meet our constitutional requirement to get a budget done" with a deadline set for Sunday.
Munroe said the top of the priority list is funding schools.

He said the current proposal would result in the following increase of $15,145,90 for the Centennial School District, which covers Warminster and Upper Southampton Township.
"Funding our schools from Harrisburg will help prevent tax increases, not raise them," Munroe said. "This will be a tax savings for homeowners."

He also said that if the budget is not completed by Sunday, Munroe has instructed the controller's office to suspend his pay until it is completed.
