178 Citations Issued In PA State Police Crackdown On Drivers

State Police Troop M held an enforcement detail of drivers in Bucks County and two other counties on Tuesday.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Pennsylvania State Police have released the results of a traffic enforcement detail in Bucks and two other counties.

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M – Bethlehem —which comprises Bucks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties —did a troop-wide crackdown on drivers on Tuesday.

  • 178 Traffic Citations
  • 56 Warnings
  • 2 Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Arrests
  • 2 Drug Possession Arrests
  • 1 Individual with an Outstanding Warrant

The objective of this operation was to conduct aggressive, visible enforcement resulting in
increased highway safety.

Drivers are also reminded of the mandates of Title 75 Section 3733, Fleeing or Attempting to
Elude Police Officer, which stipulates that any driver of a motor vehicle who willfully fails or
refuses to bring their vehicle to a stop, or otherwise flees or attempts to elude a pursuing
police officer commits an offense, graded up to a Felony of the 3rd Degree, which carries a
maximum sentence of 7 years in prison, a $15,000 fine, and restitution for damages and/or injuries sustained due to the pursuit.
