$25K Grant For Hatboro Pool Complex Rehabilitation

HATBORO, PA —Hatboro is among three Montgomery County towns receiving DCNR funding for park improvements.

State Rep. Nancy Guenst, D-Montgomery, said Friday that the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has awarded $1.3 million in funding.

Hatboro Borough will receive $25,000 to conduct a feasibility study and an electronic written report for the rehabilitation of the Hatboro Memorial Park Pool Complex.

“This funding emphasizes the importance of accessible and improved public spaces for residents," Guenst said. “Parks and green spaces are the heart of our communities, offering vital sanctuaries for relaxation, recreation, and connection.”

Neighboring Upper Moreland Township will receive $1.25 million for the rehabilitation and further development of Woodlawn Park.

Additions include a pedestrian walkway, internal loop trail, plaza, pavilion, comfort facility, ballfield, multipurpose courts, access drive, parking area, play equipment and fitness equipment, park sign, and fencing.

Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust will receive $46,500 to develop the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust Trail Network, which includes the installation of approximately 40 wayfinding signs.

DCNR’s Community Conservation Partnerships Program allocates funding for projects
related to parks, recreation, and conservation.
