Classic is considered greenery, twinkle lights, etc. while examples of Extreme are light shows, inflatable decorations, etc, officials said.
Volunteer judges will be given approximately 8-10 homes each to judge.
Judges will receive a judging sheet, which includes 1-5 ratings in several different judgment categories (ie, creativity, details, uniqueness, etc.). Winners will be chosen based on the results of the judging sheets.
In the inaugural contest, the home at 1300 Spiess Lane took top honors while second place went to residents of 1168 Oak Leaf Lane while the home at 881 Fairfield Drive finished in third place.
Prizes will be announced before Dec. 25. Awards will be given at a meeting of the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors in January or February.
