I am so excited to bring my readers insightful, educational and humorous information regarding the pests we all deal with summer months.
As a mother of two young daughters (ages 7 and 5) I deal with many issues. The newest being the magic trick of taking away bug bites. The bugs are already in full force as our summer is just beginning. My daughters like to imagine themselves tomboys, that is until they get a little dirt on them or a bug bite. Then the tears will flow.
As any Super Mom would, I break out the alcohol - rubbing alcohol that is. But, it is to no effect. My daughters look at me, in disbelief that my "mommy magic" cannot alleviate the itch of the bite.
A call had to be made to Mosquito Platoon of Chester, PA. The guys from the Platoon came as scheduled and performed a 21-day barrier spray. I say performed because it truly was like a magic trick. Not a single bug since and to the wonder of my wanna-be-tomboys, not a single bite.
