Accused Southampton Armed Robber Arrested In Philly
Police say Tyrone Wint, who sometimes stayed at an apartment in Warminster, robbed a 7-Eleven at gunpoint last month and resisted arrest.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — A man who police say robbed a 7-Eleven store at gunpoint in Upper Southampton last month has been arrested in Philadelphia, according to police.
Tyrone Akila Wint was taken into custody Tuesday on E. Godfrey Avenue in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Upper Southampton Township Police said. Police had issued an arrest warrant for Wint, who is believed to be homeless, after the Sept. 5 robbery.
He was charged with several additional offenses on Tuesday after police say he resisted arrest.

While he had no fixed address, Wint was known to stay on E. Godfrey Avenue in Philadelphia as well as at that Aspen Grove Apartments in Warminster.
At about 2:34 a.m. on Sept. 5, police responded to the 7-Eleven at 932 Street Rd.. The store's clerk told them a man had pointed a black, semi-automatic handgun at his head and demanded money. The clerk handed over a small amount of money and the man ran away to a waiting vehicle.

Wint is being held by the Philadelphia Corrections Department and will be transferred to Bucks County for processing and arraignment, police said Wednesday.
