After-School Activities Canceled For Storm In Lower Bucks Co.
A storm expected Monday afternoon may include high winds, downpours, and a potential tornado.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Several districts in Lower Bucks County are cancelling after-school activities in the wake of Monday's storm.
The Centennial School District alerted its families in an email on Monday afternoon that all after-school programs and extracurricular activities are officially cancelled for the safety of the community.
School officials said the cancellations is due to severe weather conditions expected later on Monday. The cancellations include sports practices, clubs, and any scheduled events on school grounds.

Pennsbury Schools Superintendent Thomas A. Smith also informed the school community of Falls Township, Lower Makefield Township, and Yardley Borough that all after-school activities are canceled due to the possibility of "hazardous conditions" on Monday afternoon and night.
School officials said the KidsCare program will remain open as scheduled. They will contact parents directly with specific details regarding any changes to their schedule.
