Alto Bakery & Caffe Holding Grand Opening Saturday

WARMINSTER, PA — Alto Bakery & Caffè —the spinoff business of the popular Italian market Altomonte's —is holding its grand opening on Saturday.

The cafe will offer free samplings, water ice, prizes, and a cannoli-eating contest where the winner will win free cannoli for a month, organizers said.

The grand opening is at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the new establishment at 560 W. Street Rd. The bakery is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.

Here's the schedule of the grand opening events starting at 10 a.m. Saturday:

  • 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Free Italian water ice, sampling of focaccia, pizza, cookies, pastries and cakes
  • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Balloon artist and body glitter for kids
  • 3 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Cannoli eating contest

From light and airy Roman pizza slices, savory focaccia, Italian sandwiches, flaky croissants, and soft cornetti, to real gelato, a proper espresso or a roasty cappuccino, the new caffe offers a convenient grab-and-go experience that fits into a busy lifestyle. Altomonte's likes to think of it as "slow food, fast."

Altomonte's has served the Warminster community since 1971 when Italian immigrants Mike and Frances Grispino opened their first butcher shop.

Altomonte’s second location is at 856 N. Easton Road in Doylestown.
