WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — Popeyes experienced an electrical fire was reported early on Saturday morning in the same building where another one took place a few years ago.
Firefighters responded to the building at 380 West Street Road just after midnight for the fire in the kitchen area. The fire was knocked down quickly.
In 2020, it was announced that Popeyes would open at the former site of the Steak 'N Shake.
The "home of the Steakburger" was much anticipated when it opened its doors in Warminster on Jan. 17, 2019.
But the restaurant caught fire just one day after opening to big crowds in a location that, before that, had been a Friendly's. It would be nearly four months before the Steak 'N Shake opened for business again.
