Ann’s Choice Celebrates Women’s History Month and National Reading Month

Residents and employees participating in community-wide "Hidden Figures" reading initiative

(Ann's Choice)

March is both Women’s History Month and National Reading Month, and Ann’s Choice is marking the occasion with a month-long community reading event. Residents and employees are invited to read Hidden Figures, the acclaimed book that highlights the contributions of African American women mathematicians at NASA. Copies of the book are available in resident libraries across the campus as well as in employee breakrooms.

To conclude the month, Ann’s Choice will host a panel event featuring both residents and employees. The discussion will explore themes from the Hidden Figures book and film and is sponsored by the Ann’s Choice Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee.

Employees and residents alike enjoy events all year, including spirit week, golf outings, staff appreciation events, holiday celebrations, pep rallies for Philadelphia sports teams, and volunteer activities.
