Archbishop Wood High Names New Principal

The Warminster-based Catholic High School has made several personnel moves.

WARMINSTER, PA —Archbishop Wood Catholic School has named a new principal besides making a few other appointments.

The high school at the corner of Street and York roads appointed Katherine M. Nobles as principal on Aug. 19.

Nobles has served as the assistant principal for academic affairs for the past three years.

She has 12 years of education experience with nine years as a teacher in mathematics and theology at several Archdiocesan high schools, including Archbishop Wood.

Meanwhile, the school also appointed a new campus minister and new director of enrollment management.

In other school personnel moves:

New Campus Minister

Deacon Steve Guckin has been appointed as the new campus minister.

Deacon Steve served as a Permanent Deacon in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 17 years and previously served as School Minister at Lansdale Catholic, Cardinal Dougherty, and Father Judge High Schools.

For the last four years, he was a Theology Teacher at Archbishop Ryan. Additionally, he was also a career law enforcement officer with the Philadelphia Police Department and Drexel University.

Deacon Steve is married to Eileen Hogan Guckin, from the AWHS Class of ‘81 and they have a daughter, son, and grandson.

New Director of Enrollment Management

Natalie Lahiff. has been named as the new director of enrollment management.

Lahiff's tenure began in July and she has hit the ground running with ideas and strategies to build on and strengthen our enrollment for years to come!

Lahiff comes to Wood with a bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing and over 13 years in the Education Industry (both as a teacher and an administrator.) She has worked across the country as well as internationally in private secondary schools, private colleges, and even an Ivy League institution.

In addition to her Admissions background, Lahiffe was also a former volleyball coach for Bishop McDevitt.
