Archbishop Wood Names Interim Football Coach
The Warminster-based Catholic high school has also appointed a new assistant principal.

WARMINSTER, PA —Archbishop Wood Catholic High School has named an interim head coach following the resignation of its football coach.
Brian Goettner is taking over the football program following Coach Dave Armstrong’s resignation.
"We look forward to Coach Goettner continuing the great tradition of Wood Football and leading the program to future success," school officials posted on Facebook.

Officials said the high school and the Archbishop Wood football community were grateful for Armstrong’s dedication to the program as the head football coach for the past 2.5 years as well as his service as an assistant coach for several years before that.
It was not reported by the school why Armstrong had resigned.

Meanwhile, Archbishop High has appointed Michael Bringhurst as the new assistant principal for academic affairs.
The hiring is effective on Monday, Sept. 23.
With an excellent background in education and a strong commitment to academic excellence, Bringhurst is a fine fit for the school community, officials said.
His experience in curriculum development, faculty support, and student success will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our academic programs.
"We are confident that his leadership will contribute significantly to the ongoing growth and success of our students," school officials said. "Please join us in welcoming Bringhurst to the Archbishop Wood family. We look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly make."
